Complete ZIPped file collection from the OS/2 Shareware BBS
NOTE:
These files contain the entire collection of OS/2-related files collected on the OS/2 Shareware BBS over the period of March 1990 through August 2006.
Each ZIP file represents a file area on the BBS. Since the BBS file collection grew and evolved over time, these file areas are in a semi-random order. Also, there is no file area 01, or 31. In time, I stopped using area numbers and switched to names. You can see that in the file area listings. Please note that each ZIP file contains the Maximus file descriptions, the most important of which is the FILES.BBS file. FILES.BBS files are text files with a single line of text for each file in the file system. Descriptions are limited to about 250 characters.
Below are the BBS file area listings and their descriptions. This information is taken from the file ALLFILES.TXT which you'll find in the file ALLFILES.ZIP. ALLFILES.TXT is the master file containing all of the file descriptions which used to be generated nightly on the BBS.

The BBS was an amazing project and I truly loved running it. I was pretty active with it for over 15 years and sunk an incredible amount of time and energy into setting it up and running it. It was all worthwhile though -- the system peaked at about 10,000 users from all over the world. IBM's Lee Reiswig even included the system as a part of his live demonstrations to help show how amazing the operating system was.
I made a lot of friends via the BBS, and sometimes I stop and wonder where everybody is now.
